15• Lithgow – Queensland

We’ve found ourselves immersed back to the Goldrush era as we went through Hill End and its region. We then drove through the Hunter Valley and couldn’t help testing its beautiful wines before returning to the Pacific Ocean at Myall Lakes. You might notice again some familiar faces on the pics at this point…

Our camper-trailer brilliantly passed the downpour test we coped from there, not so much our spirits. Thank God for authorised camp fires which not only kept us smiling but also assisted in drying some essentials.

Despite such weather we still did some very nice walks in the northern national parks of NSW. Mushrooms were in heaven! We refrained ourselves to pick them for a nice meal as some had unusual colours…

Jean-Philippe got quite a fright for Armande as she was walking unaware and about to step on a red-belly black snake. Hardly affected by this episode, Armande had more trouble coping with the numerous leeches that were out in force in such weather!

We left NSW for QLD via Killarney. Where is its legendary sunshine? Hope this is just a temporary set back.
