First steps… Harold St – Mt Moffat

Here we are at last. Some news about our trip. We’ve decided to start this blog so it can be accessed by anyone who is interested in following us. As you may already be aware phone / internet coverage is sparse in remote areas and we may be caught up with our adventure, so don’t expect daily news.

It was not without craziness and a lot of emotion that we went through the last few weeks trying to sort everything out: work, house to sell, things to take back to Switzerland, trip (4wd and camper-trailer and equipment), farewell party, we haven’t even had time to think about any sort of itinerary! The only certainty is that we are going to try to travel with the weather, anti-clockwise around the country.

  1. Magnifique nature.

  2. I’m so excited for you both… what a journey this still be! Love the photo’s. Looking forward to the next story.

  3. Hi there and so happy to hear from you. What a wonderful adventure. I’ll be looking for the next report and wonderful photos. I absolutely love the photo of the tree which is so vividly green against the grey rocks… very nice indeed. Until next time and take care. Marijke xx

  4. Needless to say I am envious… truly. I know that feeling of heading down a long stretch of road curious what the next town will look like. That feeling of freedom is so exhilarating. Photos are exquisite. Question: how many bottles of wine did you take? Wishing you well. Xx

  5. Photos are amazing. I am really enjoying watching your travels. Keep safe guys..

  6. I was wondering how many chapters there will be at the end!!!! Any guesses!? I see you have come across some termite mites… wait till you get to the NT along the Stuart Highway. Thinking of you both and this truly great venture you are having.
