During
this stretch we had the pleasure to share our journey with quite a
few people. First,
we spent some days around Christmas at Jenny and Jean-Gabriel, a
beautiful couple we’ve previously met during our travelling, then
Margaret and Phil joined us again from New Year’s Eve, this time with
their own caravan, until we met with Véronique and Marinka
(Jean-Philippe’s sister and our niece) mid-January, with whom we
crossed over to Tasmania. As they left after a week, it was with
Katia & Stef on their motorbikes (our friends from Brisbane) that
we continued our journey on the island.
We
had to modify our more or less planned itinerary and activities a
fair bit during these 7 weeks as we tried to cope with extreme heat
(above 40°) and quite cold temperatures
(6°), very changing weather conditions,
out of controlled bush fires in most parts of Tasmania leading to
many routes closures, and a bonus cold!
Still,
we managed to make the most of it and had a great time!
Let
the pics speak… 😉
